Skijoring 09

This is the third year of me watching my friend Kurt, and his super mellow awesome dog Calvin, skijoring at the City of Lakes Loppet. This year the weather was best for viewing, though I bet the dogs and skiers wish it was a little colder, at least that is the impression I got. It was a beautiful day, with beautiful dogs, and beautiful people.

sounds like you needed a beautiful day like today. It's hard to keep perspective or at least to lower the shoulders when so much is uncertain. It's (the economic situation as well as your day in the sun) a reminder to simplify our lives, and not get so wrapped up in the material.

I did need a beautiful day like Saturday and Sunday, actually Friday was colder but still beautiful. I need to stop thinking about some of the less important things (job, money, material) and stay more with the simpler things. Simpler things like going out for a great dinner on Thursday night with a couple of friends, dinner Friday night with a friend, time spent outside on Saturday and Sunday, etc. I need to be more aware of where my head is. Hard to do sometimes.
